John A. Berman, Partner
John A. Berman focuses his practice in the areas of family law, divorce, probate mediation, estate settlement, religious and charitable law. He is a member of the Hartford County, Connecticut, and American Bar Associations; the Association of Trial Lawyers of America; the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the National College of Probate Judges. Attorney Berman received an A.B. degree from Wheaton College Illinois and earned his L.L.B at the University of Connecticut. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut (1957).

A frequent lecturer on probate and estate planning, Mr. Berman has also been published in law journals and authored a chapter of the "Mediation Practice Book." He lives in Hartford with his wife, Laura, and has been active in the legal affairs of the area, as well as previously serving as West Hartford's representative to the Connecticut General Assembly. He currently serves as president of the Watkinson Prisoners Aid Society.
